Senior Rotating Equipment EngineerTitle: Senior Rotating Equipment EngineerLocation: Baytown, TX & Beaumont, TX (On-Site)Contract role- C2C/W2/1099 all are okRoles & Responsibilities:Senior Engineers play a pivotal role in the successful operation of the plants and are responsible for initiating and leading improvements to unit performance in safety, production, and reliability.In this role, he/she will serve as a mentor to other engineers and provide technical coaching and training to operations and mechanical personnel. You will look around corners for solutions and provide data-driven recommendations based on industry standards. You will think strategically, execute thoughtfully, and collaborate across many teams, levels, and situations.As part of an integrated facility including Refinery and Chemical plants, Machinery Engineers have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of rotating equipment, including extruders, hyper-compressors, turbo-expanders, steam turbines and cogen facilities.
In addition, they are part of a larger engineering organization so get to collaborate with other machinery and non-machinery engineers.Work in a team environment with other engineering disciplines, operations and mechanical personnelProactively seek improvements directed at increasing plant reliabilitySpecify new rotating equipment to comply with industry and company design practicesEnsure safe, cost effective, operable rotating equipment and associated systems are provided and maintained to meet current business unit needsHave leadership capabilities with strong organizational, communication, and team working skills, through a combination of formal training and/or experiencesProvide quality control and design reviews of new projects that involve rotating equipmentPeriodically review rotating equipment thermodynamic and mechanical performanceHave experience with machinery monitoring and troubleshooting including bearings, seals and auxiliary support systems and vibration analysisLead RCFA developmentProvide assistance in the field during plant startups, shutdowns or upsetsDeliver guidance to the business units on prioritization of machinery related workHave a demonstrated ability to influence without direct authorityBe able to provide off-hours support of abnormal and non-routine operationRequired Skills (Technical Competency):B.S.
