We believe recent breakthroughs in AI/ML and robotics have the potential to unlock new experiences that were never possible before, and are looking for talented robotics software engineers to realize that mission by expanding the capabilities of Apple products and platforms.ResponsibilitiesDesigning and implementing APIsDesigning and implementing tools such as visualizations, logging, and evaluation systemsEvaluating and debugging a complex AI systemsIntegrating complex AI systems into a larger software stackMinimum QualificationsBS/MS in Computer Science, Math, Robotics or related fieldVery strong software engineering background with at least 5 years of industry experienceAbility to break down large features and implement practical solutionsCuriosity about new technologies and flexibility to dive into different parts of a SW stack at different timesPreferred QualificationsiOS Development experience, including experience with Swift and Apple development toolsExperience with system design and hardware deploymentProficient in building visualizations and tooling (e.g., Python, QT)Experience writing wrappers to IPC mechanisms such as XPC and RPCSystems experience involving deployment of algorithms to GPUs as well as other acceleratorsPay & BenefitsAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $184,700 and $324,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
