Often working alongside a multi-disciplined team, your projects will primarily be focused in North Carolina for some of the area's biggest clients varying in size and complexity.Responsibilities include:Designing highway/roadway and work both as part of a design team and independently.Evaluating, selecting, and applying standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.Preparing design plans, specifications, and quantities.Reviewing and preparing calculations for project elements related to highway design.Reviewing and preparing preconstruction cost estimates for projects.Working with the team to prepare proposals.Attending meetings with clients with other members of the project team.Preparing of design plans, specifications, and quantities.We invite applications from candidates with the following experience:Degree in Civil Engineering, or similarNorth Carolina PEApproximately 10 - 15 years of experience in highway design and local streetsFamiliarity with North Carolina Department of Transportation engineering practices, standards and documentationExperience with Microstation, Geopak, Bentley ORD, and Microsoft Office softwareGood decision-making skills, flexibility, focus on quality and attention to detailAbility to coordinate the work on various project design tasksInteract and communicate effectively with design team members, clients and other agenciesBenefits & RewardAt Mott MacDonald, our employees have a stake and a voice in our business, providing them with a direct connection to our success through our personal and group performance bonuses.
