Senior RF/Radar EngineerParsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior RF/Radar Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to perform modeling and simulation of defensive weapon systems of peer/near-peer adversaries with a focus on surface-to-air missile (SAM) systems including RF sensors; target acquisition and tracking; 6-DOF missile flyout, command, and seeker endgame; network-centric warfare techniques; command-and-control (C2/C4); and advanced Radar/RF techniques.What You'll Be Doing:Participate in the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software models that simulate and/or emulate real-world adversarial Surface-to-Air Missile (SAM) systems within TMAP STIMS 2.0, STIMS 3.0, and/or LIVE modeling frameworksPerform subsystem and system-level modeling and simulation derived from all-source intelligence dataAddress intelligence gaps using expertise in weapon systems, waveforms, signal processing, probability of detection/intercept, electronic warfare, antennas, and electromagnetics, and analyze and implement EO/IR techniquesDevelop algorithms and techniques for active/passive detection, signal processing chains, clutter mitigation, electronic attack, waveform selection/scheduling, and adaptive beamformingConduct engineering analysis of real-world threat weapon systems, supplementing all available all-source intelligence assessments to inform the software model lifecycle, including development, maintenance, and study supportUnderstand and track software model requirements to ensure alignment with customer objectivesAnalyze real-world threat weapon system characteristics, capabilities, and limitations, and develop digital twin representations of those systemsDevelop software using MATLAB/SIMULINK, C/C++, and/or Python to create high-fidelity models and simulationsParticipate in technical discussions to support near- and long-term planning for model development and integrationCollaborating within a team and mentoring junior/mid-level software developersRequired Clearance:Must be a US CitizenCandidate must have an active Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain/maintain a TS/SCI with CI PolygraphWhat Required Skills You'll Bring:Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science with 8+ years of experience, OR Master's Degree with 6+ years of experience, OR Ph.D. with 2+ years of experienceStrong programming skills in C++, Python, and/or MATLAB/SimulinkSubject matter expertise in RF propagation, signal processing, track filtering, antenna design, communications, radar systems, missile/seeker, passive radar, electronic support, and/or electronic attackExperience with modeling and simulation of weapons systems including Radar, Directed Energy Weapons, Surface-to-Air Missile Systems, RF Jammers, Missile Seekers, and/or Anti-Satellite weaponsWhat Desired Skills You'll Bring:EO/IR experienceExperience with threat weapon system model modeling in TMAP, ODESSA, ESAMS, AFSIM, LIVE and/or ITASEExperience with STIMS 2.0 (Simulink), STIMS 3.0 (C++), and/or LIVE modeling frameworks/standardsSoftware development in a DevOps or DevSecOps environmentExperience working in an AGILE software development teamMentoring experienceExperience designing, developing, or operating code for a distributed processing environmentExperience with working with environmental datasets and RF propagationSalary Range: $125,100.00 - $225,200.00We value our employees and want our employees to take care of their overall wellbeing, which is why we offer best-in-class benefits such as medical, dental, vision, paid time off, Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), 401(k), life insurance, flexible work schedules, and holidays to fit your busy lifestyle!
