Overview
We are seeking a Senior Resident Engineer to join our team in Tallahassee or Chipley, FL. This role will be responsible for working on FDOT Transportation projects such as Roads and Bridges.
Your role
- Plans, organizes and directs the administration and coordination of construction observation and reporting activities.
- Provides financial management of construction office operations, monitoring costs and expenses, approving and dispersing funds, and coordinating accounting and cost allocation.
- Leads subordinate internal staff involved in the observation, testing and sampling of construction materials, observation of construction work, and documentation of plan revisions and work progress.
- Is responsible for reporting cost and quality control activities.
- Meets and coordinates ongoing construction monitoring with client program manager.
- Prepares and coordinates contract changes and supplemental agreements with client.
- Performs such other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.
- Must have experience working on FDOT projects.
About You
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
- Fifteen years of experience with Bachelor's degree combining engineering design and construction observation administration, and including management and supervision of field and office personnel.
- PE certification is required.

Additional information
Expected compensation range is between $160,000 to $195,000 annually depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
