Position Summary
Responsible for the end-to-end preparation, validation, and deployment of Strategic Full Revaluation Capability (SFRC) release builds across multiple environments. This role ensures release readiness through the coordination of testing, dependency validation, staging checks, and implementation planning.
The individual acts as the deputy to the Release Manager, supporting release governance, requirements coordination, Go/No-Go assessments, and production implementation activities while driving automation, reliability, and continuous improvement of the release process.
Responsibilities
- Own the preparation, packaging, validation, and deployment of SFRC release builds across development, testing, UAT, and production environments.
- Coordinate release activities across Development, Quality Assurance, Infrastructure, Data Engineering, Production Support, and Business teams to ensure successful implementation.
- Validate that all Release Requests (RRs) have completed the required testing, approvals, documentation, and implementation-readiness checks before inclusion in a release.
- Perform dependency analysis to identify release conflicts, sequencing risks, environmental impacts, and deployment constraints.
- Conduct staging-readiness assessments, ensuring that environments, infrastructure, monitoring, rollback procedures, and operational support teams are prepared for implementation.
- Support and facilitate Release Review meetings by providing release status updates, risk assessments, implementation plans, and remediation actions.
- Contribute to Go/No-Go decision-making by validating technical readiness, testing outcomes, implementation plans, rollback plans, and identified risks.
- Develop, maintain, and improve release automation, CI/CD pipelines, deployment tools, and implementation procedures.
- Identify opportunities to reduce release risk, increase deployment frequency, improve standardization, and minimize manual operational effort.
- Support operational stability initiatives by ensuring that all production changes are introduced in a controlled, auditable, and low-risk manner.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years’ experience in Release Management and/or Change Enablement
- ITIL Practitioner certification in Release Management and/or Change Enablement is strongly preferred.
- SAFe Agilist, SAFe DevOps Practitioner, or Release Train Engineer certification is desirable.
- Experience with CI/CD tools and technologies, including Ansible, Git, Bitbucket, Azure DevOps, or equivalent platforms.
- Experience with environment and configuration management.
- Experience with production implementation and release coordination.
- Knowledge of Linux and Unix environments.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with scheduling, orchestration, and monitoring platforms such as Quartz, Bob Monitor, AutoSys, or Control-M.
- Demonstrated experience leading release governance, Go/No-Go decision processes, implementation planning, and change-risk management.
- Experience supporting Financial Markets, Market Risk, FRTB, Value at Risk, or Regulatory Reporting platforms.
Compensation
**Base salary range for this role is $130,000 - $190,000**
