This role is responsible for generating new commercial loan opportunities while managing and growing an assigned portfolio of business relationships. The position focuses on high-quality origination, relationship retention, and delivering value through loans and related credit and non-credit products.Key ResponsibilitiesOriginate new commercial loan opportunities within defined risk parametersManage and grow an assigned portfolio of business borrowers and credit union relationshipsDevelop new business through referrals, lead lists, and community engagementRepresent the organization at business and community eventsProvide initial credit recommendations aligned with underwriting standardsPartner with internal teams to deliver a seamless origination and servicing experienceMaintain strong communication with borrowers and credit union partners throughout the loan lifecycleIdentify cross-sell opportunities and support long-term relationship retentionMentor and support junior lending and credit staffQualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent experienceFormal sales or credit training required7–10 years of commercial lending experienceStrong relationship management, credit judgment, and business development skills
