Senior Reinsurance Business AnalystNew York, New York Contract To Hire Jan 14, 2026Title: Senior Reinsurance Business Analyst (Contract) - Job#5842 Location: New York, NY (3x on-site) Duration: 6-12 months + We are seeking a Senior Reinsurance Business Systems Analyst with reinsurance expertise in both Premium and Claims, Treaty and Facultative contracts. Knowledge of Reinsurance Accounting data a plus. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in Product Support, business / data analysis.

This position will be a replacement to the IT area that supports reinsurance applications. The analyst will be part of a team of developers / analysts responsible for the current reinsurance platform and also be involved in the design and implementation of a new reinsurance system as part of a global reinsurance transformation initiative. The analyst will work in collaboration with other data analysts, developers, vendors, and key business stakeholders both internal and external to ensure system design best practices and data quality.Essential Functions:Provide product support for the current Reinsurance platform Sapiens ReinsurancePro.Meet response time / issue resolution SLAsLearn and become a system and business solution subject matter expertWork autonomously with Business Users, data partners, and vendors to address issues and implement new functionality.Analyze data issues and perform root cause analysisDocument Functional Specification Requirements and Testing Cases.Perform Quality Assurance testingCoordinate Vendor tickets and ensure timely delivery and follow upPlan projects, and report on project risks and milestonesDrive initiatives forward ensuring timely delivery of project milestonesProactively communicate status of tasks ensuring all deadlines are metFollow all IT Department Policies and ProceduresData Management & Project SupportUse SQL and Excel to identify, analyze and resolve data quality issuesPerform data profiling and analysis on reinsurance and enterprise data warehousesDocument and map ETL transformations to Onboard or enhance data feedsEnsure data standards are reused and enforced across data platforms.Maintain Team process protocols by writing and updating procedures.Effective Communication and Team CollaborationUnderstand complex interdependenciesAble to identify and escalate issues appropriatelyReview designs by other team members and give constructive feedback.Follow departmental standard operating procedures, workflow processes and work in a transparent manner.Ability to capture and log meeting takeaways and follow up on action itemsPosition Requirements:Bachelor's Degree or equivalent (5+ years data experience), Masters a plusKnowledge of Reinsurance and Reinsurance platforms RequiredQuick Learner with an excellent memoryStrong Excel skills – speed and proficiencyDemonstrated proficiency with SQLStrong analytical skills, especially data analysisUnderstand data flowsExperienced with ETL transformations & data mapping PreferredProject Management skillsIntellectual curiosity and a desire to seek new challengesAbility to work autonomouslyAbout Delphi-US Delphi-US is a national recruiting firm based in Newport, Rhode Island.
