Job Description

We are seeking a Senior or Management level Reimbursement Analyst to join a highly collaborative government reimbursement team supporting a large, multi-facility healthcare system. This individual will oversee the preparation, review, and submission of Medicare cost reports while ensuring compliance with federal reimbursement regulations and organizational standards. This individual will serve as a subject matter expert on government reimbursement matters, providing strategic guidance, financial analysis, and regulatory interpretation to support reimbursement optimization initiatives across the organization. The ideal candidate possesses extensive Medicare cost reporting experience, strong healthcare finance expertise, and the ability to lead complex reimbursement projects. This role requires close collaboration with reimbursement leadership, finance teams, operational stakeholders, and external partners to ensure accurate reporting, identify reimbursement opportunities, and support financial planning efforts. Candidates should be comfortable managing competing priorities, driving process improvements, and mentoring team members in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Depending on experience, this role may include formal people leadership responsibilities, including oversight and development of reimbursement analysts and senior analysts. This position operates in a hybrid work environment, requiring onsite attendance three days per week (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday) and remote work two days per week.

Skills and Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, Healthcare Administration, Economics, or related field

  • 5+ years experience in healthcare reimbursement

  • Strong understanding of medicare reimbursement regulatons

  • Experience preparing and reviewing Medicare cost reports - Prior leadership or people management experience

  • Experience supporting multi-facility healthcare systems

  • Knowledge of reimbursement software platforms

  • CPA, MBA, MHA
