Red Sun Technology is seeking a highly experienced Senior Red Hat Linux Administrator to manage and optimize enterprise-wide Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments. The role demands expertise in system configuration, automation, performance tuning, and security compliance while supporting mission-critical applications. The consultant will be expected to participate in on-call rotations, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to system design and documentation.

Red Sun Technology is seeking a highly experienced Senior Red Hat Linux Administrator to manage and optimize enterprise-wide Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments. The role demands expertise in system configuration, automation, performance tuning, and security compliance while supporting mission-critical applications. The consultant will be expected to participate in on-call rotations, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to system design and documentation.

• Bachelor’s or postgraduate degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (non-related: Agricultural Economics, MBA)
• Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) or Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), with a valid Certification ID
  

• 10+ years of experience as a Red Hat system administrator
• 10+ years of experience with Unix (AIX) IBM pSeries systems
• 15+ years of total IT experience
  

• Install, configure, and maintain RHEL systems in development, testing, and production
• Perform system upgrades, patching, and security hardening
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using Ansible, Bash, or Python
• Configure Red Hat Satellite and Identity Management (IdM)
• Ensure systems comply with organizational and security standards
• Support application teams and contribute to deployment strategies
• Maintain documentation and participate in incident response
• Configure NFS, mount points, and schedule Cron jobs

• Oracle WebLogic, Oracle DB, Progress 4GL/OpenEdge, Apache, vSphere
• Rubrik backup systems and Oracle DB backups
• PeopleSoft, Mobius, Elastic Search, Oracle OBI
• CVS version control
• Red Hat performance tuning, load balancing, and DR/backup strategies
• 24/7 enterprise system support
• Red Hat support, application development, and electronic imaging systems

• Effective verbal/written communication
• Team-oriented with leadership skills
• User and helpdesk interface experience
• Strong troubleshooting abilities across OS, database, and applications
