Dhaka Technologies Limited is hiring for a client seeking a Sr. React JS Developer to design, develop, and test using React JS technologies, which will facilitate application development and implementation from development to QA to production for the DMV team.
Position Summary
The client will be modernizing the District of Columbia Department of Motor Vehicles Enterprise Application to leverage new digital technologies such as cloud computing, data analytics, artificial intelligence, and mobile technologies that are required to create a modern experience for customers and partners of DC DMV. Modernizing the DMV Enterprise Application helps DC DMV improve their services to citizens, enhance government operations, while strengthening the overall data security. To address these challenges, the DMV team is looking to hire highly skilled individuals to rapidly connect the DMV Enterprise Application with modern technology while minimizing disruption to the existing systems.
Role Description
The role will require you to design, develop, and test using React JS technologies, which will facilitate application development and implementation from development to QA to production. You will work to gain an understanding of the current system infrastructure, security needs, network considerations, and methodologies.
Responsibilities
The Senior Developer will be writing clean, scalable code using React JS programming languages, refactor and debug code, improve existing software, test and deploy applications and systems. Develop documentation throughout the lifecycle of the development process and provide technical support to the team.
- Ensure that the technologies are updated with current, stable, and compliant architecture and applications that meet enterprise standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams to produce software design and architecture.
- Develop, test, and deploy applications and systems.
- Revise, update, refactor, and debug code.
- Improve existing Java applications and systems.
- Proactively monitor and report performance utilization of assigned technologies.
- Troubleshoot software and/or hardware issues/failures.
- Manage problem or escalated tickets and tasks and out-of-cycle requests from systems/software owners.
- Determine the best course of action for meeting business needs and provide consultative expertise to customers on how to best use systems.
- Proactively monitor and identify broader, more complex issues across multiple integrated, connecting technologies and communicate as appropriate.
- Provide technical knowledge and support to District agencies, personnel, and additional stakeholders.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- May coordinate activities of application developers.
- Able to identify best practices and standards for the use of the product.
- Deliver support and design for industry-specific applications that require integration with statewide systems or applications.
- Interact with executive-level business users or technical experts.
- May function as a niche technical SME (Subject Matter Expert).

- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in working with React UI framework (React.js) Required 3 Years
- Experience in working with ReactJS, RxJS, NodeJS, ES6/5 Required 3 Years
- Experience in Redux architecture Required 3 Years
- Experience in working with REST APIs Required 3 Years
- Experience in working with JSON and XML Required 3 Years
- Experience translating wireframes and designs for development Required 3 Years
- Experience in CSS libraries, Sigma, Adobe XD Required 3 Years
- Experience with ReactJS workflows like Flux, Redux, Create React App, data structure libraries Required 3 Years
