Description

Under the direction and supervision of the Imaging Services Supervisor or Manager, provides medical imaging assistance with patient care activities including but not limited to: transporting patients, assisting Technologists/Nurse in preparing for exams and procedures, lifting/positioning patients, and observing patients while they wait. This person may transport charts, records, laboratory specimens, and other pertinent information as requested.

Required Qualifications

  • Enrollment in an accredited School of Radiology, Sonography, or Nuclear Medicine.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology, Sonography, or Nuclear Medicine pending state licensure within six months of graduation; after six months, will be demoted to a non‑licensed position.
  • Demonstrated initial and ongoing competency in Cardiac Rhythm Interpretation; will be enrolled in an internally developed online course as part of orientation and have periodic competency assessment.
  • National Provider BLS – American Heart Association upon hire.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2 years experience in a hospital setting.
