Here, you will make an impact by:Leading the development and implementation of global Medical Device Quality Processes for 3MLeading Global Quality Management Systems (QMS) and improvement activities including Corrective Action Preventive Action (CAPA), training, management of change (MOC), and general quality systems supportLeading on-going maintenance of global quality management system policies, procedures and standardsEnsuring compliance with internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and external standards (ISO 13485, 21 CFR 820, EU MDR, etc)Supporting internal and external audits of the QMSYour Skills and ExpertiseTo set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Bachelor's degree or higher in a Science and/or Engineering discipline (completed and verified prior to start)Five (5) years of experience in Quality, Quality Engineering, Product Engineering, Six Sigma and/or Manufacturing in a private, public, government or military environmentTwo (2) years of experience in Quality System in Medical Device regulated environment.Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Prior medical device and/or quality management system experience such as Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Quality System Regulation (QSR) and/or International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 13485Proficient in Medical Device/Regulated Quality Management systems ( ie Enovia PLM, Trackwise, Compliance Quest)Working knowledge of root cause analysis tools and techniquesStrong project management skillsAble to thrive within a multi-functional product team (Quality, Manufacturing, Tech Service, Marketing, Clinical, Regulatory, etc.)Experience supporting audits from notified bodies, customers, and internal sources.Experience with communicating and presenting information to Senior LeadersASQ Certified Quality Engineer or Quality AuditorExperience in successfully leading teams and projectsProficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and writing/using data queries, extracts and analysis.Work Location:Work Your Way Eligible (Employee choice to work remote, on site, or hybrid)Travel: May include up to 10% domestic/internationalRelocation Assistance: Not authorizedMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Supporting Your Well-being3M offers many programs to help you live your best life – both physically and financially.
