Senior Quality Engineer
$130,000–$170,000 + Equity + Full Benefits | Hybrid | San Diego, CA
A growing photonics company is looking for a Senior Quality Engineer to help build and scale its quality function across next-generation optical products for AI, data centre and HPC applications.
This is a hands-on role covering Quality Systems, Manufacturing Quality and Supplier Quality. Working closely with engineering, operations, suppliers and external manufacturing partners, you’ll help build and scale the company’s quality infrastructure as it continues to grow.
What you’ll be doing:
- Lead ISO certification and quality management systems
- Drive manufacturing quality, yield and product reliability
- Manage Supplier Quality, audits, qualification and SCARs
- Lead RCA, CAPA and non-conformance investigations
- Develop FMEA, Quality Control Plans and SPC
- Track and improve key quality metrics
What we’re looking for:
- 5+ years' Quality Engineering experience in semiconductor, advanced packaging or photonics
- Strong Quality Systems / ISO experience
- Supplier Quality and subcontractor management experience
- Experience with SPC, FMEA, 8D, 5-Why and Gage R&R
- Optical transceiver experience is highly preferreds
