QA Automation Engineer (Full-Time, Remote – LATAM) Kick off your next career move with Launchpad! We're looking for a driven QA Automation Engineer ready to take on the challenge of transforming manual testing processes into a robust, automated, and scalable quality ecosystem. Start date: January 5th, 2026. Contract type: Contractor, Indefinite, 100% Remote. Work hours: Monday to Friday, 8/9 am to 5/6 pm UK Time. At least 6 hours of overlap are expected.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Design, implement, and maintain automated test frameworks for web and backend applications, ensuring consistent quality across multiple systems.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins / Azure DevOps) to enable continuous testing and deployment.
  • Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to define test strategies for .NET, Angular, and Azure-based applications.
  • Develop and execute data‑driven tests to validate integrity in SQL databases and data pipelines.
  • Support the QA team's transition from manual to automated testing by promoting best practices, documentation, and knowledge sharing.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize test execution, improving reliability and reducing maintenance overhead.

What You Need to Succeed - Must-haves

  • 5+ years of experience as a QA Automation Engineer or SDET.
  • Strong proficiency in C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Python for test automation.
  • Proven expertise with automation frameworks (SpecFlow, Cucumber, Playwright, Cypress, Selenium).
  • Hands‑on experience embedding tests in CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
  • Solid understanding of SQL and data validation techniques.
  • Experience with Azure Cloud services and event‑driven systems.
  • Advanced English communication skills and ability to collaborate in distributed teams.

Nice‑to‑haves

  • Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
  • Understanding of performance and load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, K6).
  • Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies and cross‑functional collaboration.
