This initiative involves transitioning legacy on-premise systems into a modern, scalable AWS environment. As we move away from a Java-based legacy codebase, all new development and migration logic will be focused on Python.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned professional who understands both the "old" and "new" worlds of enterprise development.Required Qualifications (Must-Have Skills):10+ years of total IT experience (15+ years highly preferred).5+ years of hands-on Python development experience.Extensive hands-on experience with AWS Cloud services.Strong, practical experience with AWS Lambda (Mandatory).Prior experience with Java development (Background as a Java developer transitioning to Python is highly preferred).Proven experience in cloud migration projects (On-premise to AWS).Minimum 10 years of professional experience working within the USA.Key Responsibilities:Drive the migration of legacy on-premise Java systems to AWS Cloud infrastructure.Design and develop new features and migration scripts using Python.Architect and implement serverless solutions utilizing AWS Lambda.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless transition of high-availability airline systems.Optimize cloud resources for performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency.Preferred Candidate Profile:Senior-level professionals who can operate with high autonomy.Recent and relevant AWS experience is a top priority.Strong architectural understanding of how to deconstruct legacy Java applications into Python-based cloud services.
