Since 2014, we've built our reputation on high-touch service, operational excellence, and strong client & owner relationships – and were named #1 Best Place to Work in 2025 by the Orlando Business Journal!Due to continued growth, we're seeking an exceptional Senior Property Accountant to take ownership of a multifamily portfolio and play a key role in strengthening our financial operations as we scale.The Senior Property Accountant will manage full-cycle accounting for a multifamily portfolio (7 - 9) properties, based on experience), owning the month-end close, financial reporting, and owner communications end-to-end.Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 annual salary + bonus eligible Salary is commensurate with experience and portfolio complexity Schedule: Full Time, Monday thru Friday 8:30am – 5:30pm Location: Atrium Management Company, 201 S Bumby Ave. Orlando, FL Office-based Requirement: Candidates must be available to work from the above office Monday thru Friday.Key ResponsibilitiesPortfolio Financial Ownership:Own full-cycle accounting for a multifamily portfolioServe as primary financial contact for property owners and internal stakeholdersPresent complete property financial performance and respond to complex inquiriesMonth-End Close & Reporting:Lead month-end close, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliationsPrepare and deliver monthly financial packages (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, rent roll, and variance analysis)Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance across all reportingOperational Accounting:Oversee bank/credit card reconciliations, AP/AR coordination, and GL maintenanceValidate rent rolls, track collections, and monitor property-level performanceSupport budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysisProcess Improvement & Collaboration:Identify and implement process improvements and reporting efficienciesHelp develop SOPs and scalable accounting workflowsPartner cross-functionally with operations and leadershipWhy This Role Stands OutDirect exposure to ownership groups and leadershipOpportunity to influence processes and help scale a growing companyHigh-visibility role with real impact on portfolio performanceCollaborative, team-oriented culture with strong internal supportRequirements5+ years of accounting experience, including a minimum of 3 years in non-HOA multifamily property accountingStrong expertise in accrual accounting, month-end close, and property-level financialsExperience with platforms such as AppFolio, Yardi, Buildium or similarAdvanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data organization)Ability to work independently, prioritize deadlines, and manage multiple propertiesStrong communication skills with experience presenting financials to non-finance stakeholdersPreferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldExperience preparing financial reports, communicating complex financial data, and providing clear explanations to non-finance stakeholders, including property owners or asset managersBackground in process improvement, SOP development, or system optimizationBi-lingual (English & Spanish) is a plus!Your Benefits PackageAt Atrium, we invest in the whole you – your HEALTH, your TIME, your FUTURE, and your GROWTH.
