Senior Project Superintendent - Building Group (Vertical Construction)Location: Point Pleasant, WV, US Job Level: Senior Level Home District/Group: Kiewit Building Group Department: Field Supervision Market: Building Employment Type: Full TimePosition Overview: As an Sr. Superintendent for us, you will lead and supervise all aspects of these advanced technologies projects and industrial EPC construction projects. Perform daily inspections of work for Safety, Quality and Productivity with our subcontract and trade partners for Industrial Buildings.

Assure proper planning and communication is happening for all operations that you oversee. Identify and solve problems that arise. Establish budgetary guidelines for the job and ensure that cost control measures are being followed.

Provide job safety training and awareness for all personnel. Establish quality standards of all jobs and ensure that all quality assurance and company standards are being met. Develop and manage job schedules (e.g.

three-week, 90-day, man loading), coordinate work with other crafts, departments, contractors and suppliers.Responsibilities:Lead direction of craft personnel via internal or external general foreman, managing the performance of productivity, safety, quality and schedule adherenceAct as liaison between field engineering and project craft to ensure compliance of construction drawings and specificationsCoordinate and interface effectively with other superintendents and subcontractors, as well as Kiewit staff personnel and leadership to ensure smooth workflow and schedule adherenceResolve employee conflicts, grievances, and scheduling difficulties, informing project and corporate management as appropriateAssist in schedule planning, determining craft labor levels, material quantities, and equipment requirementsQualifications:Ability to travel and relocate as needed15+ years' work experience in the construction industry, with at least 3+ years in a supervisory rolePrevious knowledge/experience in vertical building setting required, and experience working as the General Contractor overseeing subs and trade partners is required.Advanced knowledge of various construction disciplines, union agreements and jurisdictional issues, safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, engineering drawings and other documentsDemonstrated ability to efficiently supervise and evaluate craft performanceHighly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiativeStrong work ethic, willing to do what it takes to get the job done right the first timeDemonstrated commitment to ethics and integrityPassion for safety, with the ability to help us ensure that nobody gets hurtStrong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skillsTeam player with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines, goals and objectivesStrong organization, time management, and attention to detailOther Requirements:Regular, reliable attendanceWork productively and meet deadlines timelyCommunicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment.Perform work safely and effectively.
