Senior Project Manager – Wind Construction

Location: Wisconsin & Minnesota. Lead the execution of 150–300 MW wind energy projects across Wisconsin and Minnesota, contributing to a $3–$4 billion renewable energy portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and utilize Alliant Energy project management methodologies and PMI processes to achieve scope, schedule, cost objectives while managing risks.
  • Determine specific business needs, deliverables, costs, resources, performance measurements, timelines, and technical objectives to complete projects.
  • Assess and secure appropriate project resource and staffing skillsets to reduce overall risk.
  • Manage applicable contracts with sourcing personnel, ensuring work is completed on schedule and to specifications.
  • Develop and execute communication and stakeholder management plans, reporting status, risks, and progress.
  • Ensure training needs are met for project team members and users.
  • Upon completion, manage transition activities: training, close work orders, finance closures, reassign teams, documentation, and smooth handover.
  • Support and mentor others in change management methodology and business consulting within program and project contexts.
  • Perform cost/benefit analysis and feasibility assessments as needed.
  • Support Alliant Energy’s values and purpose.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 5+ years of project management experience managing medium to large complex projects.
  • Strong background in construction, infrastructure, energy or industrial project delivery (wind experience a plus).

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred; achievement within 12 months of employment required.

Benefits & Compensation

  • Pay range: $120,000–$145,000.
  • Eligible to participate in annual incentive program.
  • Competitive compensation and benefits package, including health, retirement, tuition reimbursement, paid time off.
