BGE goes beyond competitive benefits to attract and retain the best in an environment that inspires excellence.Job ResponsibilitiesDirect responsibility for projects, and leading a team in the development of plans and specifications for medium and large-scale transportation projects that include preliminary engineering, schematics, paving, grading, drainage, structures, traffic engineering, traffic control, utility adjustments, environmental permits, ROW acquisition, and other miscellaneous itemsOversee and/or work with a team of engineers, designers, and techniciansWork with other consultant companies to lead General Engineering Consultant (GEC) and program management contractsProvide Quality Assurance/Quality Control in review of plans, specifications, and estimates (PS&E), and all other deliverablesManage project budgets and schedulesAssist with business development efforts for new and existing clients such as TXDOT and local agenciesOther duties as assignedJob RequirementsBachelor's degree in civil engineering or related fieldRegistered/licensed PE in TX10 years of experience working with roadway projects, including 5 years of experience as a project managerExperience doing business development for transportation projects with state, county, municipal, and local public entities.Experience with MicroStation, Geopak Open Roads, Geopak Drainage, HEC-RAS, as well as experience with development of plans for TxDOT, Harris County, Fort Bend County or other governmental agencies in the regionExperience managing General Engineering Consultant (GEC) and program management contracts, including task order execution, staff augmentation, and owner's representative servicesExperience with multiple delivery methods, including Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, and CMAR, for large-scale transportation programsLight to moderate travel - occasionally requiredAbility to work in various weather conditions may be requiredMust be able to work extra hours, including evenings and weekends, when needed as project schedule demandsSome of our Benefits:401k Match: 100% up to 4% of your contributions with immediate vesting + 3% Safe Harbor Contribution with immediate vestingMerit-Based Bonus CompensationMedical, Dental, Vision Insurance; BGE contributes to HSA on eligible plans9 paid Holidays, including 3 Floating holidaysPersonal Time Allowances2 to 4 weeks of Vacation, depending on experience-level.
