Senior Project ManagerThis role will effectively manage the life cycle of single or multiple projects from inception to completion while simultaneously fostering client relationships to ensure company sustainability.The senior project manager will act as the liaison between the corporate office and the project to which the chosen candidate is assigned.
The role will include project management functions as well as communication, tracking and scheduling responsibilities for the following types of projects:Helical PilesHelical AnchorsHelical Pile Design, Repair and ConstructionFoundations for Gas Pipelines, Laucher/Receivers, Regen BoilersDeep FoundationsHeavy Highway and Road ConstructionProcessing and Management of On-site/Off-site MaterialsResponsibilities include:Business DevelopmentActively foster and develop new customer/supplier relationshipsProactively communicate with customers to identify new opportunities for growthParticipate in industry related functions to market the company's capabilities and capacityFocus on developing new and current relationships in the Oil and Gas markets.Project ManagementResponsible for engineering design coordination, preliminary design, cost estimates proposal preparation, contract negotiations, cost analysis, project management and any sub-contractor coordination for each assigned projectPerform project estimating and prepare project reports and time linesDevelop and manage production scheduling for assigned projectsPrepare and negotiate all contracts, sub contracts and subsequent change ordersMonitor job costs and production to ensure proposed project time line is achievedCoordinate projects needs with site superintendent and company managementCoordinate production and scheduling of active steps of the projects life cycleManage the equipment necessary for scope of each assigned projectReportingEnsures the timely submission of weekly and monthly reports to Division Manager and other stakeholdersAll other duties and responsibilities as assigned by managementExperience:7+ years of project management experience in the heavy/civil construction industry10+ years of experience working or supporting heavy/civil construction projects and activitiesSkills & Abilities:Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented atmosphereAbility to proficiently utilize the programs with the Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to proficiently utilize AutoCAD or similar design softwareAbility to travel extensively and for extended periods of timeAbility to be a highly motivated, self-starterAbility to work flexible hoursAbility to handle changing priorities and use good judgment in stressful situationsAbility to adhere to schedulesAbility to assess and quickly solve problemsAbility to manage multiple projectsPossess excellent verbal and written communication skillsPossess strong communication skillsPossess sound technical knowledgePossess commercial instinctsPhysical Requirements:Ability to wear and properly utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to work or visit within areas where it is requiredAbility to walk, step, climb, and otherwise move from one location on the job site to anotherAbility to visually see worksite environment and observe equipment operations (either naturally or with corrective lenses)Ability to stand, stoop, kneel, squat, climb, and sit for long periods of timeAbility to complete repetitive movements by feet, shoulders, arms, wrists, hands and back in performance of workAbility to climb vertical ladders.
