Senior Project Manager

Building Management Systems, Inc. (BMS) has been a trusted general contractor on Florida’s Space Coast since 1981. We deliver commercial, aerospace and defense, financial, industrial, healthcare, and municipal projects through general contracting, design-build, and CM at Risk. Our clients come back because we control budgets, hold schedules, and communicate clearly.

We’re growing and looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead projects from buyout through closeout and help develop our project management team.

What You’ll Do

• Manage multiple projects from contract award through closeout, owning cost, schedule, quality, and client relationships
• Write complete, fully vetted subcontract scopes and lead buyout and subcontractor negotiations
• Prepare, submit, and track owner change orders to timely approval
• Manage the submittal process and verify that approved materials are what get installed in the field
• Develop and maintain project schedules
• Monitor job cost, forecasts, and cash flow against budget
• Coordinate permitting, utilities, and procurement
• Serve as primary contact for owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors
• Supervise and mentor Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers

What You Bring

• 10+ years of commercial construction project management experience
• Proven record managing projects from buyout through closeout
• Strong command of contracts, scopes, change orders, and project financials
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and building codes
• Proficiency with Procore (or similar), Microsoft Office, and construction accounting/job cost software
• Organized, decisive, and clear in writing and in conversation
