Senior Project ManagerKCI Technologies is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager (Site/Civil Engineer or Landscape Architect) to join our Land Development team in the Mid-Atlantic region. This role is ideal for a licensed professional who thrives in a leadership position—managing complex projects, mentoring teams, navigating regulatory processes, and helping grow a well-established and collaborative practice.As a senior leader within our Land Development group, you'll be responsible for the successful delivery of complex site development projects while serving as a mentor to staff and a strategic partner to practice leadership.Lead and manage multidisciplinary teams of engineers, landscape architects, and designers delivering high-quality civil/site designsOversee the full project lifecycle—from due diligence and concept development through zoning, permitting, construction documents, and construction supportServe as a primary point of contact and trusted advisor for clients across commercial, mixed-use, retail, industrial, energy, and other land development projectsPartner closely with the Practice Leader to grow the business by strengthening existing client relationships and identifying new opportunitiesPrepare and oversee fee proposals, manage scopes, schedules, and budgets, and ensure projects are delivered efficiently and profitablyProvide technical oversight, mentorship, and professional development guidance to support team growth and project successConduct site visits, review existing conditions, and support construction inspections as neededCollaborate with project support staff on project setup, invoicing, forecasting, and closeout to ensure strong project administrationPrepare and review technical reports, regulatory submittals, and client deliverables to ensure a high level of quality and consistency.What We're Looking For:Professional Engineer (PE) or Registered Landscape Architect (RLA) license (required)Extensive experience in land development engineering/design, permitting, and regulatory processesProven success managing complex projects, multidisciplinary teams, and client relationshipsDemonstrated experience with proposal development, contract administration, and project financial managementStrong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skillsA passion for mentoring, developing teams, and contributing to long-term practice growthWhy KCIAt KCI, you'll join a 100% employee-owned firm where leadership, collaboration, and long-term growth truly matter. • Proven experience in project management roles, with a focus on managing larger-scale projects or programs. • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, team members, and stakeholders. • Proficiency in project management software and tools, with the ability to develop and maintain comprehensive project plans and documentation.
• Knowledge of industry standards and best practices related to project management, quality assurance, and safety protocols. • Effective problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and implement solutions in a fast-paced environment. • Strong negotiation skills to manage contracts, scope changes, and stakeholder agreements effectively. • Strong understanding of accounting principles to effectively manage project budgets, financial reporting, and resource allocation.Education and/or Work Experience Preferred: • Master's Degree in related field (AEC Industry)Certificates, Licenses, and/or Registrations Required: • Ability to complete the KCI PM Training and Contract Risk Training along with passing the PM Board within 6 months of start date.Pre-employment drug screening and background check are conditions of employment.
