Senior Project ManagerThe Senior Project Manager is a senior-level project leader responsible for the successful delivery of the company's largest, most complex, and highest-value electrical construction projects or portfolios. This role operates with full accountability for project performance, including financial outcomes, contract execution, and client satisfaction, while driving strategic execution across multiple stakeholders and project teams.Operating within the Project Team under the Operations function, the Senior Project Manager partners closely with Branch Managers, Project Executives, and field leadership to develop and execute project strategies that ensure operational excellence, margin performance, and client retention. This role serves as a primary point of contact for executive-level client relationships and plays a critical role in maintaining and expanding key accounts.In addition to project delivery, the Senior Project Manager provides mentorship and guidance to Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers, contributing to the development of project management capabilities across the organization.
The role requires a high level of independent judgment, leadership, and business acumen, with the ability to manage complex project demands while influencing broader operational and business outcomes.The Senior Project Manager is a seasoned project management professional with a proven track record of delivering large-scale electrical construction, mission critical, or complex service projects, and the ability to lead high-performing teams while driving consistent results in safety, quality, financial performance, and client experience.Essential Functions, Duties, and ResponsibilitiesTasks may include, but are not limited to the following:Lead execution of large, complex projects or multiple concurrent projects/programs, ensuring alignment with contract requirements, schedules, and financial objectivesOwn and manage project or portfolio P&L performance, including budget development, forecasting, margin optimization, and financial risk managementDevelop and implement project and program-level execution strategies, including sequencing, logistics, staffing, and resource planning across multiple workstreamsServe as the primary executive-level point of contact for clients, general contractors, and key stakeholders; build and maintain long-term client relationshipsLead contract strategy and administration, including negotiation, risk evaluation, and resolution of complex change orders, claims, and disputesDrive financial performance and cost control strategies, including productivity improvement, cost recovery, and margin protection initiativesOversee procurement strategy for major equipment, subcontractors, and vendors, including high-value and long-lead itemsProvide leadership and direction to Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and project teams; mentor and develop talent to strengthen organizational capabilityLead coordination across field leadership, engineering, BIM, prefabrication, service, and support functions to ensure integrated project executionIdentify and proactively manage enterprise-level risks, including operational, financial, contractual, and client-related risksLead executive-level reporting on project and portfolio performance, including status, financials, risks, and strategic considerationsSupport business development efforts by identifying growth opportunities, participating in pursuits, and contributing to client retention and expansion strategiesEnsure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards across all projects and reinforce company expectations and best practicesOversee final project closeout, commissioning, and turnover processes to ensure successful delivery and client satisfactionRequired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Advanced knowledge of electrical construction, service operations, and project execution methodologies across multiple project typesAbility to adapt project management approach to different delivery models (lump sum, service work, negotiated work, mission critical environments)Strong financial acumen with ability to manage budgets, forecasts, and project profitabilityAdvanced understanding of contract administration, risk allocation, and change managementAbility to independently interpret drawings, specifications, and contract documentsStrong leadership and coordination skills across field teams, service teams, and subcontractorsEffective client management and communication skills across varied project environmentsAbility to manage multiple projects, workstreams, or service programs simultaneouslyStrategic problem-solving and decision-making capabilitiesProficiency in project management platforms, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office SuiteStrong understanding of construction safety standards (OSHA) and operational compliance
