Senior Project ManagerA leading heavy civil contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee large-scale underground utility and infrastructure projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. This individual will play a key leadership role managing complex public utility projects involving water, sewer, storm drain, rehabilitation, and trenchless construction operations.The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership experience, a proven track record managing multiple high-value projects, and the ability to mentor project teams while maintaining strong client relationships with municipalities, utility authorities, and engineering firms.ResponsibilitiesLead and oversee multiple underground utility construction projects from preconstruction through final completionManage project teams including Project Managers, Project Engineers, Superintendents, and field personnelMaintain responsibility for project budgets, forecasting, schedules, contract administration, and overall project performanceDevelop and maintain relationships with owners, municipalities, consultants, and subcontractorsOversee procurement, subcontractor negotiations, change orders, claims management, and project reportingCoordinate closely with operations teams to ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with specificationsSupport business development efforts and participate in strategic planning for upcoming pursuitsAssist with staffing, mentoring, and developing junior project management personnelEnsure compliance with company safety standards, quality control requirements, and regulatory guidelinesParticipate in executive-level project reviews and operational planning meetingsPreferred Background10+ years of experience in heavy civil or underground utility constructionStrong background managing water, sewer, stormwater, or wastewater infrastructure projectsExperience overseeing large municipal or public works projectsFamiliarity with trenchless utility construction methods such as CIPP, pipe bursting, sliplining, and rehabilitation work is highly preferredProven ability to manage multiple projects and large operational teams simultaneouslyStrong financial management and forecasting experienceExcellent leadership, communication, and client management skillsAbility to mentor and develop Project Managers and field leadership teamsBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred
