Senior Project Manager / EstimatorThe company is a growing commercial specialty contractor with approximately $100M in annual revenue. The company specializes in drywall, metal stud framing, interior systems, and floor preparation, partnering with top general contractors on complex commercial projects.The firm has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality interior finishes and reliable project execution across Richmond, DC, and Raleigh markets. Their work spans corporate interiors, healthcare facilities, government spaces, and advanced technology environments, including highly secure and technically demanding facilities.Due to continued growth and an expanding project pipeline—particularly in data centers and secure facilities (SCIF environments)—the company is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager / Estimator to join their Richmond team.The Senior Project Manager / Estimator will play a critical dual role supporting both preconstruction and project execution.

This individual will lead the estimating process for commercial interior systems projects while also managing awarded projects from handoff through closeout.This position requires a strong understanding of drywall, metal stud framing, and interior systems construction, along with the leadership skills necessary to manage multiple projects, maintain strong relationships with general contractors, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.Key ResponsibilitiesReview construction drawings and specifications to prepare accurate project estimatesPerform quantity takeoffs and develop detailed cost proposalsSolicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricingPrepare and submit competitive bids and negotiated proposalsParticipate in scope reviews and value engineering opportunitiesManage projects from contract award through completionCoordinate with field teams, superintendents, subcontractors, and general contractorsLead project meetings and maintain strong client relationshipsManage RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and project documentationMonitor project budgets, schedules, procurement, and change ordersEnsure work is completed in accordance with project plans, safety standards, and contract requirementsRequirementsEducationBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferredYears of Experience10–15 years of experience in commercial construction, preferably within drywall, metal framing, or interior systemsProject TypesCommercial interiorsData centersSCIF (Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility) environmentsCorporate interiors and secure government facilitiesProject SizeMid- to large-scale commercial interior build-outs and specialized interior systems scopesProject LocationPrimarily Richmond, VA, with projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic regionOther Job RequirementsStrong knowledge of drywall assemblies, metal stud framing, and interior systemsAbility to read and interpret construction drawings and specificationsExperience with estimating software and construction management toolsBenefitsBase Salary: $100,000 – $150,000 (commensurate with experience)Competitive compensation packagePerformance-based incentivesComprehensive health benefitsPaid time off and holidaysOpportunity for growth within a rapidly expanding specialty contractor
