This is a leadership role for a strategic thinker who excels at business development, preconstruction, project execution, team leadership, and client relationship management.Position SummaryThe Senior Project Manager is responsible for the overall success of assigned projects, including:Business development and client managementPreconstruction and estimating oversightConstruction executionFinancial performanceSchedule and quality managementSafety leadershipTeam development and mentorshipWarranty and project closeoutIn addition to project responsibilities, this leader will contribute to company-wide initiatives, committees, and industry organizations while serving as a positive ambassador for the organization.Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development & Client RelationsDevelop and maintain strong relationships with clients and industry partners.Lead marketing and business development efforts.Drive the pursuit process by creating winning strategies for proposals and interviews.Identify opportunities to expand existing client relationships and generate future business.Project LeadershipManage one large-scale or multiple small-to-medium commercial construction projects.Oversee projects from preconstruction through closeout and warranty.Lead the budgeting and bidding process, including document review and bid-day activities.Direct estimating and preconstruction teams while coordinating purchasing and operations.Monitor project budgets, labor resources, schedules, quality, and overall project performance.Review, negotiate, and execute owner change orders and subcontract agreements.Supervise the development and maintenance of construction schedules.Prepare and review monthly financial projections and project reporting.Coordinate peer reviews and project performance audits.Ensure projects meet or exceed expectations for profitability, schedule, quality, and client satisfaction.Safety LeadershipDevelop and implement project-specific safety programs.Collaborate with Superintendents and Safety personnel to ensure compliance with company and client safety requirements.Participate in safety planning during preconstruction.Promote a culture of safety across all project teams.Conduct and oversee required project safety inspections.Support incident investigations and continuous safety improvement initiatives.Team Leadership & DevelopmentMentor and develop project team members.Support employee career growth and professional fulfillment.Collaborate with operational leadership on staffing and workforce planning.Resolve labor and project team challenges effectively.Participate in internal leadership initiatives and special assignments.Model and promote company values in every interaction.QualificationsRequiredBachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).10–15 years of commercial construction experience.Strong experience managing complex construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities.Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard construction management technologies.Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.Strong financial, contractual, and operational decision-making capabilities.Ability to build and maintain relationships with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.OSHA 10 Certification.PreferredCurrent CPR/First Aid Certification.Experience with mission critical construction projects.Active involvement in industry organizations and professional networking.What We're Looking ForBuilds strong client relationships.Leads high-performing teams.Thrives in complex and fast-paced environments.Makes sound business decisions.Champions a culture of safety.Embraces accountability and ownership.Is passionate about developing people and delivering exceptional projects.Why Join Us?Employee-owned organizationCollaborative and supportive cultureOpportunity to lead high-profile mission critical projectsStrong focus on professional development and career growthCommitment to safety, quality, and operational excellenceIf you're a seasoned construction leader looking to make a lasting impact while helping shape the future of a growing organization, we'd love to hear from you.
