Senior Project Manager - Data Center Electrical (Medium Voltage)NorthStar Energy Solutions is Hiring for a Senior Project Manager - Data Center Electrical (Medium Voltage).The Senior Project Manager – Data Center Electrical (Medium Voltage) is responsible for overall leadership, execution, and delivery of medium-voltage electrical infrastructure for mission-critical data center construction projects. This role provides strategic oversight of onsite operations, project teams, subcontractors, and client coordination to ensure successful installation and commissioning of MV systems, including substations, switchgear, transformers, feeders, and utility interconnections.The ideal candidate brings strong leadership experience in large-scale electrical construction, with a focus on data centers, mission-critical facilities, or utility infrastructure. This individual will drive safety, schedule performance, quality, and financial success while serving as the primary operational leader for medium voltage project execution.What You'll DoProvide overall project leadership for medium voltage electrical scopes associated with data center construction projectsOversee onsite project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and field teams to ensure safe and efficient execution of workDirect installation and coordination of MV systems ranging from 5kV–35kV, including substations, switchgear, transformers, feeders, grounding systems, and distribution infrastructureDevelop and manage project schedules, manpower plans, procurement tracking, and project forecastingCoordinate closely with utility providers regarding service integration, outages, testing, and energization activitiesMonitor project budgets, cost reports, productivity metrics, and change management processes to maintain financial performanceReview electrical drawings, specifications, one-line diagrams, and construction documents for constructability and complianceLead project meetings with clients, engineers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholdersIdentify project risks and implement mitigation strategies to maintain schedule and operational goalsEnsure compliance with NEC requirements, local jurisdictions, OSHA regulations, and client-specific data center standardsOversee QA/QC processes, field inspections, turnover documentation, and commissioning support activitiesManage RFIs, submittals, change orders, procurement coordination, and project reporting requirementsSupport commissioning teams during pre-functional testing, functional testing, startup, and energization activitiesDrive a strong safety culture, including enforcement of lockout/tagout (LOTO), energized work procedures, and site-specific safety protocolsMentor and develop project managers, engineers, and field leadership personnelWork EnvironmentA combination of field and office responsibilities in fast-paced construction environments.Travel may be required based on project assignment.Ability to work around active construction operations and energized electrical systems.What You'll BringQualificationsMinimum 10+ years of experience in electrical construction, with significant experience in medium voltage systems and mission-critical/data center environmentsPrevious experience managing large-scale electrical infrastructure or data center projects preferredStrong understanding of medium voltage electrical systems, utility coordination, substations, switchgear, and commissioning processesProven leadership experience managing project teams, subcontractors, budgets, and schedulesAbility to interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and technical documentationExperience with project controls, forecasting, cost management, and scheduling platformsStrong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skillsValid driver's license requiredPreferred QualificationsExperience with hyperscale data center construction projectsBackground in utility-scale electrical infrastructure or renewable energy projectsOSHA 30 certification preferredPMP certification or equivalent project management experience preferredWhat You'll GetAs a Quanta Services employee, we offer a wide range of benefits to fit your needs.401(k) with immediate matching and vestingFully comprehensive benefits packages; Medical, Dental, VisionYour choice of PPO, HSA, FSAShort term and long term benefitsEmployee discounts on consumer goodsEqual Opportunity EmployerAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment and will not be discriminated against on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin or ancestry, sex (including gender, pregnancy, sexual orientation, and/or gender identity), age, disability, genetic information, veteran status, and/or any other basis protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
