An established general contractor is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead major commercial construction projects in the Chicago area. This is an opportunity to take ownership of challenging work, partner with a strong field team, and help deliver projects that serve the community.

We’re especially interested in candidates with K 12 project experience or experience managing projects valued at $100M or more . Both are not required.

What you’ll do

• Lead projects from preconstruction through closeout, managing scope, schedule, budget, and client expectations
• Develop and maintain project schedules, coordinate with the superintendent, and address risks to key milestones
• Manage project budgets, forecasts, contracts, change orders, and cost reporting
• Build strong working relationships with clients, design teams, subcontractors, and internal project staff
• Review plans and specifications, resolve design and coordination issues, and support timely decisions
• Lead project meetings and communicate progress, risks, and solutions clearly
• Coordinate closely with field leadership to support safe, high quality work and keep the project on track
• Guide the team through turnover, punch list completion, and closeout

What you bring

• 10 or more years of commercial construction experience, including project management responsibility for a general contractor
• Experience managing ground up commercial construction xhqgsiq projects
• Experience with K 12 projects or projects valued at $100M or more
• Strong skills in project scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and contract administration
• The ability to lead teams, manage competing priorities, and resolve issues proactively
• Clear communication and a strong commitment to safety, quality, and client service
