The role requires exceptional communication, proactive risk management, and the ability to influence diverse stakeholders across a matrixed organization.Summary: Senior Project Manager, Health Systems is responsible for leading complex technology modernization and digital transformation projects across clinical, operational, and enterprise environments. This role drives high-impact initiatives that strengthen system capabilities, streamline workflows, modernize legacy platforms, and advance the organization's long-term digital strategy. The individual in this role partners with leaders and subject-matter experts across clinical, operational, business, and IT domains to define project goals, build structured project plans, coordinate cross-functional workstreams, and ensure that initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and with measurable value. They serve as a connector between strategy, technology, and operational execution—translating organizational priorities into actionable project outcomes.Key ResponsibilitiesLead Strategic Technology Modernization ProjectsManage end-to-end delivery of initiatives such as platform modernization, cloud migrations, interoperability improvements, workflow optimization, or enterprise application enhancementsDevelop comprehensive project plans, including scope definition, timelines, milestone management, resource coordination, and budget oversightDrive Strategy ExecutionTranslate organizational digital and modernization strategies into structured workstreams and executable project activitiesEnsure that project outcomes support broader enterprise, clinical, and business objectivesCoordinate Cross-Functional StakeholdersCollaborate with clinical, operational, business, and IT teams to ensure that technology solutions support real-world workflows and requirementsFacilitate decision-making across stakeholders with differing perspectives and prioritiesOversee Risk, Issues, and Change ManagementIdentify risks, dependencies, and potential bottlenecks early; develop mitigation strategies; escalate issues when neededLead change management, communication plans, readiness activities, and adoption effortsProvide Executive-Level ReportingDeliver clear and concise updates to leadership on project progress, risks, outcomes, timelines, and strategic alignmentPrepare dashboards, status reports, and executive summaries that support decision-makingEnsure High-Quality DeliveryOversee testing, validation, deployment, and transition-to-operations activitiesEnsure solutions meet standards for performance, usability, reliability, and compliancePromote Continuous ImprovementEvaluate project performance using metrics, feedback, and retrospective insightsIdentify opportunities to optimize processes, enhance capabilities, and improve future project executionPerform additional responsibilities as assigned including documentation, facilitation, assessments, and support of enterprise transformation programsIdentify opportunities to expand the value of existing digital platforms and modernization efforts, collaborating with leaders to prioritize high-impact initiativesSupport strategic planning efforts by assessing emerging technology trends and their potential application across clinical, operational, and enterprise domainsMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Healthcare Informatics, or a related fieldAn additional 6-8 years of progressively responsible IT project or program management experience may substitute for a degree7-10 years of experience managing complex IT, digital transformation, or modernization projects, preferably in healthcare3+ years leading cross-functional teams or managing multi-workstream programs in a matrixed environmentDemonstrated success driving large-scale technology initiatives from strategy through implementation, with measurable operational or clinical impactProven ability to work effectively with clinical, operational, business, and technical stakeholdersExperience with healthcare applications and platforms (e.g., Epic, Cerner/Oracle Health, Meditech, or other enterprise access/clinical/business systems)Preferred certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional), PMI?ACP, PMI?PBA, or PgMP, Lean Six Sigma, TOGAF or SAFe (for architecture/Agile environments)Salary/Rate: Fulltime: The pay range for this role is *** - *** per annum including any bonuses or variable pay. *** also offers benefits like medical, vision, dental, life, disability insurance and paid time off (including holidays, parental leave, and sick leave, as required by law).
