Project Manager SeniorLocation: Suite Pryor St. SW Atlanta, Georgia 30303The essential function of the position within the organization is to provide experienced IT Project Management skills that will adhere to Fulton County IT PMO project management standards and methodologies for technology implementations while managing the planning, assignment, and execution of project tasks using Microsoft Project Online 2019 for 4 Projects.We are seeking a highly capable Project Manager (PM) to support 4 projects. This candidate will be collaborating with functional and technical experts in the Law Department, Legislative Management Teams along with Procurement & Information Technology to implement a Case Management System, a Legislative and Agenda Management System as well as support 2 operational projects in support of a Mobile Device Management county-wide implementation (using Kanban) and Physical Security program (using Kanban).To ensure success as a PM, they should demonstrate extensive knowledge of IT system integration, migration to the cloud and the ability to implement Case Management and Legislative Management systems.

Their business & technical expertise must include waterfall as well as Agile delivery methods.Project Manager Responsibilities:Development of Project CharterDevelopment of project plan and scheduleCoordination and scheduling of project activities across customer and functional areasConsultation on operational and infrastructure requirements, standards, and configurationsFacilitate project status meetingsTimely project status reportingAddress project issues with functional areas and managementEscalation of significant issues to customers and executive managementManage project scope and deliverable requirementsDocument changes to project scope and scheduleFacilitate and document project closeoutProject Manager Requirements:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, seven (7) years of information technology project management experienceProject Management Professional (PMP) certification is mandatoryAgile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) or similar certification is preferredProficiency with Microsoft Office, Visio and Microsoft Project is requiredIn-depth understanding of Waterfall and Agile Development methodology principlesExcellent and very persuasive oral and written communication and presentation skillsExemplary, advanced interpersonal, conflict resolution and leadership skillsAdvanced knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures in managing technology projectsExperience managing projects with similar scope to initiatives within the County’s technology environment7+ years of customer interfacing experience – project oversight, customer presentationExceptional interpersonal and collaboration skillsAn overall general understanding of large IT operating environments, Change Control, Desktop Support, Service Desks, Application Development, Release Management, Networks, Storage, Data CentersUnderstands the concepts, best practices, and execution of Business Analysis and Project Management principlesSkills in process mapping, requirements definition, design documentation and system implementation including using Visio and AdobeExcellent organizational and people management skills.
