About the Role
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the successful delivery of multiple custom residential construction projects. This role oversees project teams from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
The ideal candidate is a strong leader, strategic problem-solver, and relationship builder who excels in managing complex projects and competing priorities while developing people and delivering exceptional results.
Responsibilities
Project Leadership
- Lead multiple construction projects simultaneously from planning through completion.
- Provide direction and support to Project Managers, Project Engineers, and Superintendents.
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, staffing, risks, and overall project performance.
- Proactively identify challenges and implement solutions to keep projects on track.
Financial Management
- Oversee project financial performance, including budgets, forecasting, cost controls, and profitability.
- Review job cost reports, change orders, pay applications, and subcontractor commitments.
- Support preconstruction, estimating, and value engineering efforts.
Client & Partner Relationships
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, designers, consultants, and trade partners.
- Lead communication regarding project progress, budget status, and schedule updates.
- Resolve conflicts professionally while protecting project objectives and client satisfaction.
Team Development
- Mentor and develop project team members through coaching, feedback, and accountability.
- Support recruiting, onboarding, retention, and professional growth initiatives.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, ownership, continuous improvement, and servant leadership.
Quality & Safety
- Ensure projects meet company quality standards, contract requirements, and client expectations.
- Reinforce safety programs, jobsite best practices, and regulatory compliance.
- Conduct regular project reviews to verify quality, safety, and operational excellence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field required.
- Large scale commercial and/or high-end custom residential construction experience required.
- 10+ years of progressive construction project management experience with a general contractor required.
- Experience managing construction projects in mountain environments, severe weather conditions, and site constraints strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in Procore strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
- Advanced knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, building systems, and project delivery.
- Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, cost controls, schedules, change orders, contracts, subcontracts, and project financial management.
- Strong understanding of project scheduling including short-term and long-term planning.
- Expertise in project documentation, submittals, RFIs, quality management, and construction administration.
- Demonstrated success leading and developing a team.
- Strong conflict resolution, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to build trust and maintain positive relationships with clients, trade partners, and internal teams.

Compensation & Benefits
Expected base salary range: $160,000-$180,000 annually. Total compensation, including participation in the bonus program, is expected to range from $180,000-215,000.
Actual compensation will be based on factors such as experience, qualifications, technical expertise, and demonstrated leadership capabilities.
