AT3 Staffing is partnered with a leading aerospace and defense manufacturer to find a Senior Project Engineer to join their Monitoring & Actuation engineering team. This is a high-impact role where you’ll own program execution from concept through delivery—serving as the connective tissue between engineering, operations, and the customer.

If you enjoy driving complex projects, influencing cross-functional teams, and seeing your work come to life in real-world applications, this is a great opportunity to step into a visible leadership role.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead end-to-end execution of engineering programs, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget
  • Build and manage integrated project plans using tools like scheduling, earned value management (EVM), and risk/opportunity tracking
  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams including Systems, Software, Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain to drive alignment and execution
  • Monitor cost and schedule performance, providing regular updates to leadership and customers
  • Identify risks, troubleshoot execution challenges, and implement proactive solutions to keep programs on track
  • Own project reporting—communicating status, milestones, and performance metrics clearly and confidently
  • Support business growth by contributing to proposals and developing project execution plans from awarded bids
  • Translate proposals into actionable project plans, including schedules, resource forecasts, and risk mitigation strategies
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project execution efficiency and team performance

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with relevant project engineering or program management experience
  • Strong working knowledge of project management tools and methodologies (MS Project, EVM, critical path analysis, etc.)
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive projects to completion
  • Excellent communication skills, with experience presenting to both internal leadership and external customers
  • Experience with risk and opportunity management frameworks

Nice to Have

  • Hands-on experience in aerospace or avionics product development
  • Exposure to electrical system design and integration
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as MIL-STD-810, DO-160, or DO-178
  • Background in continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.)

Why This Role

This is an opportunity to step into a high-visibility role where your work directly impacts cutting-edge aerospace programs. You’ll collaborate with a strong technical team, engage with customers, and play a key role in delivering complex, mission-critical systems.
