We’re partnered with a growing heavy civil contractor delivering complex transit infrastructure projects across New York City with the Metropolitan Transportation Authority.
Due to continued project wins and a strong pipeline of work, they’re looking to bring on a Senior Project Engineer to support major subway, rail, and station upgrade projects .
The Role
You’ll play a key role supporting project delivery on high-profile MTA / transit infrastructure projects , working closely with Project Managers and field teams.
Responsibilities
- Managing RFIs, submittals, and change orders
- Supporting project scheduling and cost tracking
- Coordinating with subcontractors, inspectors, and MTA stakeholders
- Assisting with procurement and material tracking
- Ensuring compliance with MTA / NYCT standards and safety requirements
- Supporting field operations and resolving technical issues
Focus Areas
- Track, signal, and systems work
- Structural concrete and civil packages
- Utility relocations and underground work
What We’re Looking For
- 4–8+ years’ experience in heavy civil / infrastructure construction
- Previous experience on MTA, transit, rail, or large public works projects preferred
- Strong understanding of NYC construction environment and logistics
- Experience with RFIs, submittals, scheduling, and cost control
- Engineering degree (Civil or related) preferred
