Job Summary: This position offers diverse opportunities to work on a wide array of project types while maintaining a healthy and flexible work schedule. As a Senior Project Engineer, you will be a part of a growing team working on projects that have tangible impacts on the communities and clients.

Day-to‑Day Responsibilities:

  • Study, report, design, and construction of projects assigned. Typical projects include water distribution systems, sewage collection, storage facilities, control vaults, pumping stations, booster stations, water and wastewater treatment, storm water systems, road design, site development, and more.
  • Develop and lead project teams.
  • Secure work and maintain relationships with clients.
  • Prepare and manage scope, schedule, and budget for proposals and contracts.
  • Effectively communicate project goals, alternatives, recommendations, and outcomes to project team, client, and public (memos, reports, presentations, etc.).
  • Anticipate project issues, including advising the client on alternatives and provide recommendations for solving issues.
  • Implement projects from scoping to completion including overall decision‑making and QA/QC.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental Engineering or related field. Master's degree is a plus.
  • PE licensure in Michigan and at least 10 years of experience civil engineering design and project management experience.
  • Design experience, such as water main, sanitary sewer, roads, pathways and stormwater systems, are a requirement. MDOT experience is a plus.
  • Experience or familiarity working with GIS, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and/or hydraulic and hydrology design programs such as WaterCad, SewerCad, EPA‑SWMM, HEC‑HMS or HEC‑RAS preferred.
