The EPC Specialized Engineer is responsible for overseeing the engineering, procurement, and construction phases of Microgrid Projects, ensuring that all aspects are delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with quality and safety standards. This role requires a deep understanding of project management principles and EPC processes related to Power Plants and Power Generation Equipment, along with the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and manage stakeholder expectations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Project Management: Lead and manage EPC projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and contractual obligations.
- Design Oversight: Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure designs meet project specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Procurement Management: Oversee procurement activities, including vendor selection, negotiation, and contract management, to secure necessary materials and services.
- Construction Coordination: Coordinate construction activities, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards while managing site resources effectively.
- Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status and addressing any concerns.
- Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures throughout the project lifecycle to ensure deliverables meet established standards.
- Document Management: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including reports, contracts, and correspondence, for future reference and audits.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in EPC project management.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering projects related to Power Plants and Power Generation Equipment, datacenter deployments phases for construction and operation.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems behavior in DC applications, including converters, protection schemes, switchgear, and power electronics.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and system-level documentation.
- Demonstrated analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with industry standards such as IEC, IEEE, CIGRÉ, and applicable electrical codes.
- Prior involvement in cross-functional engineering, manufacturing, or field service support roles.
