Immediate need for a talented Senior Project Engineer . This is a Fulltime opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Dallas, TX /Austin, TX (Onsite).

Key Responsibilities
- Help generate Requests For Information (RFIs) and track approvals.
- Monitor and maintain shop drawing log and shop drawing coordination.
- Learn project dimensional control requirements while field verifying dimensions to back check the shop drawing approval process.
- Assist in the coordination and tracking of Vendor and Subcontractor deliveries.
- Gain an understanding for overall site logistics.
- Participate in and gain an understanding of the city and jurisdictional permit inspection process.
- Keep office and jobsite plans updated with RFIs and ASIs.
- Participate in preparing and updating the project schedule.
- Prepare agendas and minutes for the weekly construction meetings and take an active role in these meetings.
- Assist Project Manager with project procurement through development of subcontractor RFP bid forms and bid form evaluation spreadsheets.
- Gain an understanding of unit costs, bid form evaluations and award procedures during the bid phase of a construction project.
- Assist in Owner change pricing; prepare billings and review invoices.
- Under supervision on selected small projects, prepare and control budget and schedule, award and negotiate subcontracts, participate in jobsite coordination meetings, review job status with Project Manager, prepare profit projections and complete Punchlist and project close-out items.
- Support the estimating process and learn take-off software and unit cost analysis through preparing quantity take-offs.
- Monitor assigned subcontracts, subcontractor schedules relative to material deliveries and subcontractor manpower.
Key Requirements and Technology Experience
- Must have skills: Commercial Construction, Requests for Information (RFIs) , Submittals, Change Orders, Tracking
- 2-4 years of successful commercial construction experience in a design-build environment.
- You must be able to read and understand engineering drawings, purchase orders, contracts, and cost coding systems.
- Knowledge of estimating techniques, cost control and material pricing is required. It's expected that you are familiar and comfortable with current technology.
- Develop a working understanding of budgets, schedules, cost accounting, invoices, contracts, change orders and other management tools.
