Senior Project Engineer

Location: South Region, Texas. Only candidates located in Texas will be considered. Applicants must already possess work authorization in the country the job is located. We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and collaborate with a team to manage and execute bridge design tasks for diverse transportation projects, focusing predominantly on TxDOT projects.
  • Oversee the preparation of comprehensive structural designs, specifications, and cost estimations for a variety of structures, including bridges, retaining walls, and other related infrastructure.
  • Supervise load rating analysis, rehabilitation concepts and structure type analysis evaluations.
  • Mentor engineering team to use current engineering design software to complete designs.
  • Coordinate with other design teams and disciplines.
  • Offer technical guidance to Professional Engineer/EIT and CAD Designer/Drafters on projects.
  • Develop design procedures to facilitate high‑quality, cost‑effective work by others.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
  • Develop construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects.
  • Execute quality assurance checks on design calculations and drawings.
  • Develop engineering budget and schedule to support project management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 6+ years of relevant experience or Master's degree in Engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Texas PE license is required.
  • Knowledge of industry‑standard software such as PGSuper, WinCore, LEAP Bridge Concrete, MicroStation, spColumn, LPile, MDX, CSiBridge, STAAD PRO, AASHTOWare, etc.
  • A track record of successfully leading bridge design projects.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.

Salary Range: USD $120,800.00 – $144,960.00 per year.
