Senior Project Engineer

A growing and highly regarded commercial construction organization is seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join its Austin team.

What You'll Do

• Support Project Managers and Superintendents in the execution of commercial construction projects.
• Manage and monitor cost control, estimating, quantity take-offs, scheduling, procurement and safety activities.
• Perform constructability reviews of design documents and identify potential project issues.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, assist with project estimates, budgets, cost coding, revisions and cash-flow forecasting.
• Analyze and manage owner and subcontractor change orders.
• Review cost reports and assist with forecasting final project costs.
• Participate in monthly project/job reviews.
• Assist with bid analysis and subcontractor procurement.

What We’re Looking For

• 4+ years of experience as a Project Engineer within commercial construction.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or a related field .
• Strong understanding of construction management, estimating, scheduling, procurement, budgeting, costing and safety.
• Experience with construction project management software such as Viewpoint or similar .
• Experience with scheduling software such as Primavera or similar .

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between ($90,000 – $110,000) Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
