Senior Programmer Analyst IIAmerican National is seeking a professional Senior Programmer Analyst II to join the Annuity Software Development team supporting producer pay, contract and licensing, marketing, and analytics solutions. This role is ideal for an experienced application developer who enjoys building reliable enterprise applications, integrating systems, collaborating with business partners, and solving complex technical challenges in a Microsoft-based environment.What You'll DoDesign, develop, enhance, and maintain applications using.NET technologies, including VB.NET and/or C#Build and support data-driven solutions involving SQL Server, DB2, stored procedures, SSIS, and database connectivityIntegrate applications with third-party systems and RESTful APIsDevelop and maintain error handling, logging, and notification processes to support reliable production operationsCollaborate with business analysts, product teams, stakeholders, and Agile delivery teams to understand requirements and deliver effective technical solutionsTroubleshoot and resolve production issues, including participation in an on-call support rotationDocument technical processes, workflows, and solutions while ensuring code quality, maintainability, and adherence to best practicesWhat We're Looking ForMinimum of four years' hands-on experience developing enterprise applications using.NET, VB.NET and/or C#, object-oriented programming, and SQLStrong experience with SQL Server, SSMS, database design, stored procedures, and data integration; DB2 experience is a plusWorking knowledge of REST APIs and application integration conceptsExperience with Git and collaborative development workflowsExposure to Agile delivery environments and tools such as Jira or Azure DevOpsAbility to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical partners, translate business needs into system requirements, and work through shifting prioritiesBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, MIS, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant work experience will be consideredPreferred QualificationsExperience supporting insurance, annuity, producer onboarding, compensation, contract, or licensing systemsFamiliarity with life, annuity, health, or property and casualty insurance productsJava experience or broader object-oriented development experienceExperience mentoring or providing technical guidance to other developersWork EnvironmentThis role is based in League City, Texas, and offers core business hours with participation in an on-call rotation.
