A successful candidate values developer and customer experience and can connect that to technical decisions.Primary ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement new developer tooling, from concept to productionAid product development teams developing features using this tooling to improve the implementationProfile and optimize performanceHelp set expectations with software, architecture, and hardware stakeholdersWork with geographically distributed compiler, architecture and application teams to oversee improvements and problem resolutionsQualifications6-8 years of prior software development work experience or related.Experience with WebAssembly highly desirableSeveral years of experience developing for proxy/load balancing/networking use cases in a significant commercial or open-source contextBackground shipping in several paradigms such as SaaS, deployed software, customer deployed infrastructure, etc.Proficiency in a variety of development styles and languages, both static and dynamicStrong design and analytical skills in tooling and developer experienceExcellent leadership and collaboration skillsStrong background in software engineering principles with a focus on crafting robust and maintainable solutions to challenging problemsGood communication and documentation skillsThe Job Description is intended to be a general representation of the responsibilities and requirements of the job.
