Position SummaryOdyssey has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Program Systems Engineer supporting the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center Disruptive Futures division (AFLCMC/EBZ) at Eglin AFB, FL. This position provides the knowledge and experience to efficiently and effectively deliver weapons systems engineering capabilities in support of the acquisition process. The division is in a uniquely qualified and independent position as an arm of the AF Armament Directorate by its ability to utilize the expertise of the entire AF armament enterprise to hone requirements discussions, guide and evaluate technology developments, analyze new concepts/tradespace, execute and coordinate rapid demonstrations, and capture/propagate lessons learned from across the DoD, its industry partners, and non-traditional sources.Our Systems Engineers apply and execute the following technical processes: requirements definition and analysis, architecture design, implementation, integration, verification and validation, transition, decision analysis, technical planning, technical assessment, requirements management, risk management, configuration management, technical data management, and interface management.ResponsibilitiesDuties may include, but are not limited to:Support systems engineering activities across all phases of the DoD acquisition lifecycle (Materiel Solution Analysis through Operations & Support)Support requirements development, analysis, traceability, and verificationConduct system design, integration, and technical analysis activitiesDevelop and review technical documentation, including specifications, interface documents, and engineering reportsSupport technical reviews (e.g., SRR, PDR, CDR) and program milestone activitiesCollaborate with program management, logistics, test, and cybersecurity teams to ensure integrated system performanceAnalyze system performance and recommend design or process improvementsSupport risk identification, analysis, and mitigation planningProvide technical input to acquisition documentation and program decision-makingQualificationsMinimum Required Qualifications:Citizenship: Must be a US CitizenClearance: Current Top Secret clearance Education and experience:Senior: Bachelor of Science degree in related discipline and 20 years of relevant experience; OR Master of Science degree in related discipline and 15 years of relevant experience; OR PhD in related discipline and 5 years of relevant experienceExperience supporting DoD acquisition programs or similar engineering environmentsExperience supporting system development, integration, and/or sustainment activitiesExperience with requirements management tools (DOORS or similar) and modeling tools (SysML or similar)Preferred QualificationsUndergraduate and/or graduate engineering degree from a college or university with an Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology (ABET) accredited engineering program.Experience with armament systems (air-to-air, air-to-surface munitions, missiles, or related systems)Knowledge of DoD acquisition lifecycle processes and DoDI 5000 seriesAdditionally, the successful candidate will demonstrate the following:Technical SkillsExperience with requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS) and modeling tools (e.g., SysML)Risk management and technical problem-solvingConfiguration management and technical documentationInterpersonal SkillsAbility to operate independently and as part of a multidisciplinary engineering teamStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to support complex, mission-critical programsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentAdditional InformationLocation: Eglin AFB, FLTravel: May be required up to 10–20% depending on program needsWork Environment: Onsite#LI-MB1Company OverviewOdyssey is a world-class technical, engineering, and integration company serving the warfighting ecosystem with airborne integration, ISR, C2, and warfighter readiness capabilities.
