This will be a full-time, hybrid role with onsite expectations of 2-3 days per week at our Innovation Center located in Grand Rapids, MI.The Senior Product Manager is responsible for defining and executing the product strategy for the High-Efficiency product category across its full lifecycle. This role leads product planning, market analysis, and cross-functional execution to deliver profitable, differentiated solutions that meet customer needs, code requirements, and business objectives.Lead their category (High Efficiency Venting) with an ownership mentality utilizing best practices in:Category Management – the complete portfolio and how it serves the relevant channels in their categoryP&L ownership, which includes category margins (and protecting those margins) and costsTechnical understanding of the product and the associated systemsHigh knowledge of the customer – including special knowledge of key customers and how to work best with themIn-depth knowledge of the competitors and their value proposition in the marketplaceIn-Depth Understanding of the Customers in each channelPersona development and journey mappingProblem discovery and validationVoice of customer to be significant driver of decision making and setting directionAll of the above through various means, but including getting out with customersDrive strategy and vision of growth starting with an in-Depth Understanding of the customers in each channel.Market projections, gap analyses, SWOT, and other tools to understand current picture and the futureCustomer and market insightsProblem discovery and validation5 year roadmapping combined with the proper business case analysis to support the initiativesCommunication of the vision through story telling and other meansLeadership & OwnershipDrive the category through good leadership and data.
