Compensation Range: $160,000–$180,000Job Scope The Senior Procurement Manager is responsible for leading a centralized purchasing organization supporting multiple product and program teams. This role manages a team of buyers and subject matter experts specializing in consumables, castings, extrusions, raw metals, and complex machined components. The position drives the development and execution of long-term supplier agreements, ensuring robust negotiations, supply continuity, cost competitiveness, and regulatory compliance. The centralized procurement function supports decentralized product performance teams by providing sourcing strategy, supplier management, estimating, risk mitigation, and execution through delivery. This role requires deep experience in aerospace or defense procurement, strong leadership capability, and the ability to independently resolve complex, high-impact issues while managing team performance through defined KPIs.Key ResponsibilitiesEstablish and maintain procurement processes compliant with DCMA, FAR, DFARS, and CPSR requirementsIdentify critical suppliers and implement long-term agreements where appropriateLead complex negotiations to achieve best-value outcomesDrive continuous improvement in policies, procedures, and work instructionsImprove purchase request flow, cycle time, and predictabilityOversee supplier onboarding, risk assessment, mitigation, and continuous improvementAchieve cost reduction and cost avoidance objectivesManage supplier performance, escalation, and issue resolutionLead and develop buyers and subcontract specialists using performance metrics and KPIsBalance workload distribution and manage procurement backlog to established targetsRequirements QualificationsBachelor's degree with 10+ years of experience, including 5+ years managing procurement teams; or advanced degree with reduced experience requirementsAerospace or defense purchasing experience requiredStrong SAP experienceExpertise in complex machining, blueprint interpretation, and manufacturing processesDemonstrated success in contract negotiations and cost savingsStrong analytical, organizational, and communication skillsProven ability to lead teams, develop KPIs, and drive performanceFAR/DFARS knowledge requiredWork EnvironmentOn-site, full-timeFast-paced office with periodic exposure to production or warehouse settingsU.S. person status required per export control regulations
