Guided by our core values—agility, expertise, and trust—we foster a collaborative and forward-thinking work environment for employees to build long-term careers.ResponsibilitiesAs a Senior Purchasing Agent supporting MC Dean's growing businesses, your role will include:Functioning as a key liaison between the Procurement team and internal stakeholders including MC Dean's Executive Team, Engineering, Sales, and Manufacturing.Working closely with the core Program/Project teams to manage high visibility and high value programs, applying program/project management skills to assure the timely and efficient execution of MC Dean's portfolio of projects.Procurement PlanningUnderstanding contract specifications and bills of materialSourcing, identifying, and prequalifying vendors Developing comprehensive RFP'sAnalyzing multiple quotes (scope leveling) Vendor Matrix ; working with project and engineering team to confirm completeness of scope of service and supplyNegotiating and finalizing agreementsDeveloping the Procurement PlanPost award, managing plan implementationPost Award Procurement Planning And ImplementationTransferring bid phase documents and knowledge to the project teamEngaging with the project team on procurement planning & implementationCapturing and communicating market intelligence across projects & programsUnderstanding Market ConditionsPricing trendsLead times and logistical requirementsBest value opportunitiesAlternative products opportunities (Material cost/Labor savings)Evolving contract compliance requirementsContract DocumentsReading, understanding, and interpreting contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedules.TravelTraveling to project sites, manufacturers, and vendor as neededQualificationsDemonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience.Relevant Purchasing experience sourcing, negotiating contracts with Original Equipment Manufacturers, construction /specialty trade subcontractors and fabricators.Proven written and verbal communication abilitiesProficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint and Microsoft Excel.Familiarity with accounting principles.We Offer An Excellent Benefits Package Including:A competitive salaryMedical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurancePaid time offTuition reimbursement401k Retirement PlanMilitary Reserve pay offsetPaid maternity leaveAbilitiesExposure to computer screens for an extended period of time.Sitting for extended periods of time.Reach by extending hands or arms in any direction.Have finger dexterity in order to manipulate objects with fingers rather than whole hands or arms, for example, using a keyboard.Listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.Communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand.Read and understand information and ideas presented in writing.Apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.Identify and understand the speech of another person.Pay RangeUSD $84,560.00 - USD $126,840.00 /Yr.
