Senior Process Engineer – Gold Processing

Project: $4B World-Class Gold Mining Project

We are seeking an experienced Senior Process Engineer to join a major EPCM-led $4B gold mining project in Nevada. This is a key technical role responsible for leading process development, metallurgical evaluation, and engineering studies across the project lifecycle, supporting the successful delivery of a large-scale gold processing operation.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in the development, optimisation, and technical assurance of process flowsheets, working across scoping, pre-feasibility (PFS), feasibility (FS), and detailed engineering phases . This position requires strong expertise in gold processing, metallurgical test work interpretation, and the development of practical, operable process solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead process development and engineering studies for gold processing facilities, ensuring technical integrity and alignment with project objectives.
• Develop, review, and optimise process flowsheets, mass balances, PFDs, P&IDs, and process design criteria .
• Interpret and integrate metallurgical test work data into process design and engineering deliverables.
• Support engineering studies including trade‑off assessments, process simulations, equipment sizing, and technical evaluations .
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams including metallurgy, mechanical, piping, electrical, civil, and project controls to deliver integrated project outcomes.
• Provide technical input into CAPEX/OPEX estimates, risk assessments, and project execution strategies .
• Support process plant design with a focus on gold recovery, crushing, grinding, flotation, leaching/CIL/CIP, elution, detoxification, and tailings systems .
• Participate in HAZOPs, design reviews, and value engineering workshops to ensure safe, efficient, and operable plant solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical excellence across the process engineering team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Mineral Processing, or related discipline .
• Significant experience as a Process Engineer within gold or precious metals processing projects , ideally in an EPCM environment.
• Strong experience delivering engineering studies across Scoping, PFS, FS, and execution phases .
• Proven knowledge of gold process plant design and process optimisation .
• Experience with metallurgical test work programs, process modelling, and equipment selection .
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to work across multidisciplinary project teams.
• Experience on large‑scale mining capital projects is highly desirable.
