Senior Pro A/V Systems TechnicianLocation: Canton, MA or Charleston, SC (Onsite / Client Sites), Compensation: Competitive pay + overtime eligible + full benefitsDeliver clean, reliable systems - independently and professionally.The Senior Pro A/V Systems Technician is a hands-on installation role responsible for executing professional permanent A/V system builds with precision and care. You will install, test, and troubleshoot systems independently or as part of a team, following approved drawings, scope, and direction from the Project Manager or Install / Tech Lead.This role is for a technician who takes pride in craftsmanship, understands system signal flow, and can be trusted to execute work correctly without constant supervision.You are not a people lead.You are not a project manager.You are a skilled, independent contributor.What You'll OwnInstall and test permanent Pro-AV installations from rough-in through trim, test, and commissioningVideo projection and commercial display systemsSound reinforcement and conferencing systemsControl systems, DSP, and networked AVLighting and specialty systems where applicableInterpret drawings, wiring schematics, and floor plansMount, terminate, label, and dress equipment and cabling to company standardsConfigure and test basic DSP, control, and matrix systemsTroubleshoot technical issues independently or escalate appropriatelyCoordinate day-to-day tasks with Project Managers, Tech Leads, and other techniciansCoordinate installs alongside GCs, ECs, and other trades in active construction or renovation environmentsDocument work performed and participate in system-level testingSupport client and end-user training when requestedMaintain a clean, safe, and professional job siteTechnology Ecosystem ExperienceExperience with some or all of the following is expected; depth across multiple areas matters more than familiarity with every platform.Audio & DSPNetworked and analog audio systemsDSP platforms such as Q-SYS, Biamp, Symetrix, HarmanWireless and wired microphone systems (Shure, Sennheiser)Loudspeakers, amplifiers, and signal distributionVideo & Display SystemsCommercial displays and projectorsVideo switching, routing, and distributionSignal transport technologies (HDMI, HDBaseT, SDI)Control & IntegrationControl systems such as Crestron, Extron, Q-SYSTouchpanels, control processors, and device integrationUnderstanding of system control flow and troubleshootingAV NetworkingDante and networked AV fundamentalsBasic IP networking concepts (switching, VLAN awareness, addressing)Integration of AV systems on shared or dedicated networksInfrastructure & Build StandardsEquipment racks, power sequencing, and groundingCable termination, labeling, dressing, and documentationEnd-to-end testing and validation of complete signal pathsThis role requires hands-on experience installing and integrating complete AV systems; platform-only or ticket-based support experience is not sufficient.Requirements4–6+ years of experience in Pro A/V installation or serviceStrong understanding of signal flow and system wiringFamiliarity with low-voltage standards (Cat6, audio, video, control)Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, lifts, ladders, and test equipmentValid driver's license and ability to lift 50 lbs and work at heightMust be able to obtain and maintain a valid MA DOT Medical Certificate (DOT Physical)Strong communication, organization, and time-management skillsOSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety certification required (or willingness to complete shortly after hire)Apply NowSend your resume and a short note describing a permanent AV system you helped install, your role in the build, and what you learned from it to
