PCB Design & Layout: Utilize Altium Designer to create complex, multi-layer printed circuit board layouts, ensuring adherence to electrical and mechanical constraints.
Component Library Management: Manage and maintain Altium component libraries, including schematic symbols, PCB footprints, and 3D models.
Collaboration: Work closely with electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing engineering teams to translate schematic diagrams and design requirements into physical board layouts.
DFM/DFA Compliance: Implement Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) guidelines to ensure seamless fabrication and production transitions.
Documentation: Generate complete manufacturing documentation packages, including Gerber files, Drill files, Bill of Materials (BOM), assembly drawings, and fabrication notes.
Design Reviews: Participate in and host design reviews to identify and mitigate potential signal integrity, power integrity, and thermal management issues prior to manufacturing.
Technical Skills
Software Expertise: Proven, hands-on experience using Altium Designer for PCB layouts is strictly required.
Layer Complexity: Experience designing complex multi-layer boards (high-speed, mixed-signal, RF, or high-power layouts is highly preferred).
Standards Knowledge: Familiarity with IPC standards for PCB design and acceptability.
