Raytheon Test Product Development EngineerThis position will be located onsite in Tucson, Arizona.The Effectors Directorate is a multi-discipline organization responsible for developing test solutions for all Raytheon products. Our engineers are responsible for all elements of the development lifecycle for test. We are hands-on, designing with the latest technology and tools, and integrate state of the art test solutions with the most advanced engineering systems in the world. Typical work involves designing interface assemblies, selection and integration with test instruments and environments, to develop a test system for all RTX products.
These core activities may be performed for both lab engineering and factory production test systems. The candidate will contribute to the completion of all stages of test product development and will be responsible for leading the technical, cost and schedule aspects of their assigned projects. They will be expected to act in a leadership capacity as a part of their team or independently, to uncover and resolve issues associated with the development and implementation of test products.What You Will Do:You will be a leader of multi-discipline engineering teams performing design, development, and integration of Raytheon test productsTypical work involves the development of both engineering and production test systems, test interface adapters, cabling, technical drawing creation, schematic creation, circuit design and analysisYou will lead the completion of all stages of test product development, and will be responsible for performing technical, cost and schedule management of the assigned projectsYou will be expected to lead, either as a part of the team or independently, to uncover and resolve issues associated with the development and implementation of test productsQualifications You Must Have:Previous work experience with electrical engineering design and/or analysis tools such as: Altium, DX Designer, Mentor Capital, Creo Schematic, or equivalentExperience with analog, digital, and/or RF designExperience designing, testing or integrating digital, mixed signal, and/or electrical system interconnectsThe ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum experience 7 yearsQualifications We Prefer:Experience with commonly used test equipment, such as: Oscilloscopes, DMMs, Network Analyzers, Power Meters, etc.ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.Experience developing and implementing functional strategy, establishing and improving processes, standards or operational plans for work area that will have impact on the achievement of functional results.Recognized master of test systems, design and development, having deep knowledge of theory and organizational practices within test development.Communicates with parties within and outside of own function, and typically has responsibilities for communicating with parties external to the organization, (e.g., customers, vendors, etc.).
