Job Description
  • Lead preconstruction efforts from conceptual budgeting through project turnover to operations
  • Prepare conceptual estimates, detailed cost estimates, and project budgets
  • Coordinate design development and value engineering activities
  • Develop pricing strategies and competitive project proposals
  • Participate in client presentations, interviews, and project pursuit meetings
  • Build and maintain relationships with owners, architects, consultants, and industry partners
  • Support business development initiatives and help secure new work
  • Analyze drawings, specifications, schedules, and project risks
  • Coordinate subcontractor and vendor pricing efforts
  • Work closely with project management and operations teams during project handoff
  • Provide market intelligence, cost trends, and strategic planning recommendations
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients throughout the preconstruction process
The Successful Applicant
  • 5-10 years of preconstruction experience
  • Proven success managing preconstruction efforts on commercial construction projects
  • Experience helping win work through client interaction and relationship development
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Comfortable participating in client meetings and project interviews
  • Experience preparing budgets and conceptual estimates for projects ranging from approximately $10M-$50M+
  • Strong understanding of construction means, methods, scheduling, and pricing
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with operations, estimating, and business development teams
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
